Regulation summary
The SSSC Register was set up under the Regulation of Care (Scotland) Act 2001 to regulate for the social work, social care and early years workforce.
Care Inspectorate Authorised Officer's are responsible for the planning and carrying out scrutiny activities. Providing feedback to people experiencing care and service providers on the findings of scrutiny activities.
You must be registered within 6 months of starting this role.

There are two parts to Care Inspector qualification requirements.
You must have a practice qualification to apply for registration and must also hold an acceptable regulators award or agree to achieve it within the first five years of registration.
The benchmark practice qualifications:
*PDA Childhood Practice (at SCQF level 9)
*BA Childhood Practice
*Postgraduate Diploma Childhood Practice
*BA(Hons) Social Work
*SVQ Social Services (Children and Young People) SCQF Level 9
*SVQ Social Services and Healthcare SCQF Level 9
