The award of CChem recognises the experienced practising chemist who has demonstrated an in-depth knowledge of chemistry, working at a Masters level and with significant personal achievements based upon chemical science, professionalism in the workplace and a commitment to maintaining technical expertise through continuing professional development (CPD).

You would normally hold a Royal Society of Chemistry accredited degree, or have equivalent professional experience.

Professionals from outside the UK

Recognition for professionals outside the UK
All - there are routes to recognition for professionals from all countries

We accept applications from individuals in all countries. If you do not hold a Royal Society of Chemistry accredited degree then you will have to provide information on equivalence.


Registration

Registration requirements

CChem is for those working in the chemical sciences who have:

membership of the Royal Society of Chemistry (MRSC or FRSC)
a Master's-level (M-level) qualification in the chemical sciences, or an equivalent level of knowledge gained through experience
evidence that you meet the CChem attributes
a commitment to continuing your professional development.

The application fee is £75.

The annual retention fee is £31 per year, paid with your membership renewal.
