For example, compliance with health and safety legislation, risk assessments, DSE assessments, working at height, manual handling, route cause analysis, audit, control, training, ergonomics, environmental matters, behavioral safety, wellbeing at work, rehabilitation, sustainable business strategy.

Qualifications and experience

New professionals

Routes to qualification

To become a Chartered Member, you must fulfil the qualification requirements of Certified membership and successfully complete the Initial Professional Development scheme.

You can also progress to Chartered membership through our experiential route, which is for those with five to 10 years’ senior leadership experience in health and safety who don’t have a relevant qualification.

As a Chartered Member, you must maintain your CPD.
