Scottish Conveyancing and Executory Practitioners were originally regulated by the Scottish Conveyancing and Executory Services Board.
Responsibility for regulation was transferred to the Law Society of Scotland under the Public Appointments and Public Bodies etc. (Scotland) Act 2003.
