Regulation
Regulation summary
Regulation 307/2008 (as retained in UK law) establishes the minimum requirements for the training programmes of persons working with air-conditioning systems in certain motor vehicles containing certain fluorinated greenhouse gases (F-gases).
Article 2 and Article 3 of Regulation 307/2008 require such persons to hold a training attestation issued by an attestation body, demonstrating that they have completed a training course, covering the minimum skills and knowledge set out in Annex I of the Regulation.
Article 8 of The Fluorinated Greenhouse Gases Regulation 2015 enables the Secretary of State to appoint attestation bodies for the purposes of Regulation 307/2008.
It is against the law to work with equipment containing F-gases if you do not have the correct qualifications. The Fluorinated Greenhouse Gases Regulations 2015 provide powers for enforcing authorities to take action against those who fail to comply with this requirement.
