The SSSC Register was set up under the Regulation of Care (Scotland) Act 2001 to regulate for the social work, social care and early years workforce.
Support workers in day care of children services are workers who
have delegated responsibility for providing care and support to
children within a Care Inspectorate registered adult care home service.
You must be registered within 6 months of starting this role.

Instead, you are required to achieve the benchmark qualifications for you role. You can continue to register with us and will be required to gain the relevant benchmark qualification whilst you are working.
